GATE, the national level test for Engineering and Science undergraduate students is around the corner. Students are all set to give the exam to secure admissions in Masters Programs and for jobs in Public Sector Companies.

Here are some important facts that you should know if you are appearing for GATE:

  1. Top 50 AIR? No Interviews for You

If your score helps you secure a rank among the Top 50, you get a direct admission in your dream IIT without giving a technical interview.

  1. 25

All you need is just 25 marks out of 100 to crack the GATE exam.  

  1. Only 15% make it

On an average, 6 to 7 lakh students appear for GATE every year. Only 15% students tend to cross 25 marks in GATE.

  1. No one scored 100 marks in GATE

No one has ever scored 100 marks in the GATE exam. The highest ever GATE marks scored is 98.5 in 2015.

  1. No Physical Calculators

While you are not allowed to carry physical calculators for GATE, you will be provided with a virtual calculator on your screen itself.

  1. GATE and Study Abroad

Your GATE marks will help you apply to universities like the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and the University of Munich.
